This is a major success story. And a belated one.

In 2008 I became very ill and almost died. As I later learned, this didn't happen overnight. There were years leading up to the physical manifestation of PTSness. As a Tech terminal, I learned all too well that SPs will attack auditors and C/Ses, as well as their PCs, especially as these PCs become Clears and OTs. I used to half joke that I had a big fat red target on my back as an auditor. It was continual attack, overtly and covertly. Ultimately, it was “death” by a thousand cuts.

Due to the above reasons along with soaring prices, I ran around for years with almost NO auditing and kept swimming upstream as hard as I could against a  vicious can't have that was being run by an “invisible” enemy. I just didn't take care of myself and charge built up.

It was the perfect storm of restimulation by years of suppression.

The illness started when I could hardly walk. Overnight I went from 125 lbs to 95 lbs. Every joint in my body not only began to ache, but be in pain, and sometimes excruciatingly so. I could hardly lift my arms. Then, like an uninvited and very unwanted guest, an overwhelming tiredness and weakness took residence in every nook and cranny of my body and beingness. All I wanted to do was sleep.

At first, I was shocked, as I had always been very hardy and a health nut. I come from amazing Norwegian stock--my father is 98 and is still in great shape! He used to tell me: “You're a Loe (maiden name), you will live forever!”

I went to see a doctor of nutrition who, after a thorough examination, customized a diet for me. I could see that he didn't want to alarm me, but that he also wanted to be truthful. I'll never forget his face as he told me this is quite serious and that my lymphatic system was so congested that he put it at Stage 4. And on top of that I had Crohn's disease very badly. Not until later, when he was completely honest, did he tell me that if I hadn't handled the condition I would be dead now. A rather sobering R-factor.

Believe it or not, I still continued doing some auditing as best as I could. Don't ask me how. I might've taken “breath on the mirror” a little too seriously.... Then again, I'm not independently wealthy.

This all happened at a time when I hardly knew any Scientologists outside of the Church. As an immediate remedy, I got about 10 people out and felt less lonely. I did have some great auditor friends, who were also long term veterans as myself. One gave me very helpful assists. Another is responsible for my coming out in the first place. I remember well the long 4 hour conversation, when I went from near-sighted to 20/20 vision on the whole scene. Later, this very same person suggested the remedy for my illness. A wonderful person who has given decades of incredible tech delivery- the kind anyone would want.

That remedy was getting back onto OT3! I would never have thought of this. I had done OT 3 in the '70s and never got onto NOTs.  As I got going on OT3 again, it became apparent that this, indeed, was what I needed. I audited steadily every day for over a year. I kept getting better and better. It was very slow at first and sometimes seemingly hopeless, but I persevered. Then it started to speed up. The condition which seemed so firmly and permanently in place was falling apart until it finally AS-ISED. It was GONE, FINITO!! In the process I also handled all kinds of charge that had been neatly stacking up over the years. This included extricating myself from that nasty band of shame, blame and regret. I  actually came out of this in better shape than I had been in years.

Because I as-ised the illness so completely, along with the suppression, it just became a distant memory.

I felt ecstatic and I could now gussy up again and wear some high heels. Whoopeee--party time!

Which brings me to how I got this win in the first place. It was because I am an auditor. To give a little history--In the '70s I shot up both sides of the Bridge effortlessly. Then from the '80s on it mainly became a one way flow of auditing tens of thousands of hours on others. I did manage to get onto the Briefing Course and also do some C/S training. But progress was way too slow on the Bridge, especially on the processing side of my Bridge.

What to do?? The Church's “crammed down the throat” solution to getting the Bridge was LOTS of money. There were all kinds of seminars put on by the Feshbacks, Drew Johnston and who can forget Clive Rabey (or as I call him Rabies) on how to make money. It seemed that being a very rich business man was the only route. As every old timer can tell you, in LRH's day auditors were the most valuable beings on the planet. Now, in the “New Church” of Miscavige, paying lots of money is what is validated. While there is certainly nothing wrong with being a successful businessman, it wasn't the correct route for me personally. I'm an auditor!

Then it dawned on me: I didn't need a corrupt Church to tell me that I couldn't get my case handled until I bought 300 intensives of “set-ups” at a mere price of 80 million dollars!

Now I am on Solo NOTs. Life is taking on a whole new direction. I am having fun and I have a great future. For this I have Ron to thank and his priceless gift of the Bridge.

Now, like any good Success Story, I will answer the Key Question: “Would you want someone else to have similar gains to yours?”

YES!!! Keep getting trained, keep getting audited, keep reading LRH. We have this incredible Tech—we just have to use it!

Ingrid,

First up, thanks for being able to succictify the telling of a most horrendous period in your life! I have been through something similar, (yuppie 'flu ) which baffled really competent doctors who attended me. But the malaise and weakness is/was something I did not know how to deal with, coupled to the aches, pains, hopelessness and depression.

Being a health/fitness professional,I was determined to find a nutritional/ supplement regimen which would ease the situation. To be brief, I read up as much as I could, and continued to use varying cocktails of immune boosters and increased the dosages of certain vitamins.

The upshot was that I finally worked out a regimen that ultimately got me back fighting fit and restored to normal health. And as a safeguard, I have kept to this regimen for the past 26 years.

Naturally, I did not have the Suppressive influence/s in my life, like you did, and
I can only imagine how ghastly that must have been for you.

But WOW!---Did you come through that or what? OT 3 later, and the support of those key friends --- Priceless!

Wonderful to hear how it all panned out eventually,Ingrid.

ML, Calvin

There is a great quote out of the PDCs-the tape "How to Talk to your Friends about Scientology"
" If you want to get a horriblereputation or get killed, you just go around sincerely and honeltly helping people. If you want to know who's helping people in this world go around and find out wo's just on the verge of being killed. you ought to look it over. It's fascinating. It's of course the reverse vector.

Ingrid -- thanks very much for sharing your story.

I too had a very real scare 3 years ago, with an immune system that simply turned off. The recognition of PTSness, and having the confront to look it dead in the eye and deal with it both from a physical and a technical angle, allowed me to get on top of the situation. With the help of some wonderful standard Independent auditors and a C/S, I had FPRD and PTSness cleaned up, and then got onto the OT levels and through the Wall of Fire (now auditing on NOTs).

I am no longer chronically ill, and anyone meeting me would have no idea that the circumstance had even existed such a short while ago.

It really brought home to me how powerful the technology is, when applied correctly -- and how damaging it can be, when neglected, or alter-ised, or perverted. I, like so many others, had been the adverse effect of Reverse Scientology -- as well as experienced immense pressure to stay quiet and obedient to Corp Scn (despite my integrity saying otherwise).

I am really glad you wrote up this success for the blog.

Thank you very much!

Superb handling, Lana! I guess this was a case of doing exactly what THE doctor (you)
ordered, hey? Seems like those pesky Espees
hadn't a bloody clue who they were dealing
with, mate!

Once again, you have just explained the old LRH maxim, that there is just no substitute for Training, in the handling of life. Very well confronted, Lana!

Ingrid, your story is an amazing tribute to LRH, the Tech, and last but certainly not least, to yourself.

Also, I want you to know that you have inspired me yet again. Yes again. When I first started to confront the suppression in the COS I called you and you spoke with me for a while on the phone. Your space was so clean. Even though I did not hook up with you at that time, I want you to know that your kindness helped me to sort things out. I also want you to know that I have been working to do the same for others and have I just begun to follow your footsteps on the auditing side of the Bridge. I wanted to tell you this because sometimes wonderful people like you never hear back about the good effects created by your kindness. So, I want you to know that every pebble of kindness which you toss into the vast pool of theta makes ripples on distant shores.

Very cool. Over the years I've heard a lot of success stories like this. A friend of mine had cancer that just vanished with auditing. The most I've had so far is about a year ago I was getting some auditing and I got sick. We located the suppressive terminal and it totally blew, which I thought was pretty cool. It would be cool to have a book of this stuff, sort of like the format of Have You Lived Before This Life. Maybe it doesnt immediately cure every physical illness, but there are enough "miracles" that it would be hard to deny there is something to it.

Wow! Ingrid what a story. This is a classic example of WHY real Scientologists remain dedicated to the tech: because it works. What a fabulous comeback and a life lesson learned.

Scientology doesn't fully work when the person is directly connected to a suppressive influence. One has to open their eyes and apply the knowledge to choose their people and stand up for what is right. Then it becomes easier to live and easier to find correct solutions — like getting back on the level.

Incredible courage and fortitude you have shown, Ingrid. YOU are one of the best examples of what a real Scientologist is, and what a real Scientologist represents, of anyone I know.

Damn freaking well done! And thanks for sharing your story. I too have a story to share sometime soon... lol.

We all need to keep moving forward. Keep putting in order. The going is sometimes rough, but there are huge, gigantic group wins available ahead. In the hands of honorable, aware people, who are willing to fight back, Scientology flat out works and we can conquer any obstacle in our path since our underlying motive is simply to help.

WE ARE GOING TO WIN.

Great comments, Steve!
Hey, how about that closing line?

"WE ARE GOING TO WIN."

Me thinks this could make an excellent mantra, for constant repetition (3rd Dynamic)

or "I AM GOING TO WIN." (1st Dynamic)

OMG! Steve,I feel so acknowleged!!Thank you!! I am a very crative person-my original career was going to be an artist. But,when it comes to the Tech, I feel no need to alter it as I did take the time to really apply it as Ron requested-it just keeps working!

Incredible story Ingrid, and you're absolutley right: "Auditors are THE most valuable beings." It's no longer seen so by the current Church and the deviation of this slogan alone is suppression enough for the whole Scientology movement.

Communication

“As the only crime in the universe seems to be to communicate, and as the only saving grace of an awareness of awareness unit is to communicate, we can readily understand that an entanglement of communication is certain to result. What we should understand – and much more happily – is that it can now be resolved.”
