When I walked into a Scientology organization for the first time, I walked into a rented office building and up a staircase. At the top of the staircase a girl named Anita was sitting on a cheap folding metal chair, behind a folding card table.

Her TRs: priceless

Just one look into her eyes and I saw something I’d never seen before: another thetan, just being there comfortably. The experience was transformative because I knew I had found what I had been searching for. Any subject that could enable a being to do what she was doing (TR 0) had the secrets of life.

I had never seen anyone do that anywhere. Not my parents. Not in school. Not in church. Not in college. Not in business. Not socially. None of my friends had ever done it for a second. And here, sitting on at a card table, was someone with flawless TRs. Do you think I cared about the MEST? Of course not.

If MEST was therapeutic, we could all rush into the lobby of the nearest skyscraper and "go Clear" in the polished marble lobby. In downtown Dallas there are some of the most outrageous skyscrapers anyone every heard of. Unfortunately, MEST has zero effect on case.

We live on a planet of MEST. There is stunning architecture, beautiful buildings far surpassing anything in the CoS. And all of it is 100% worthless trash in handing a case.

What made Scientology different in LRH's day was not the MEST. It was something else. They had something no one else had: theta. And it was right there in the eyes of the receptionist or the book store officer, or fellow Scientologists on course practicing TRs, or auditors chatting in the lobby, or supervisors, etc. When you spoke with a Scientologist, there was someone THERE. He or she was looking at you and you knew it. You knew you were being heard. And there was ARC.

It was the 8th wonder of the world — theta — and every Scientology org was a Fort Knox of it. But clinical psychopath, David Miscavige, had no idea what "theta" was and so threw all of it away in favor of worthless MEST: videos, displays, marble and glass and cold chrome steel.

Turn 8 on it’s side and you have the infinity symbol. And that’s theta.

Who is the stupidest person who ever lived? It would have to be the crumb who instructed RTC to take on the beingness of "cold chrome steel" and threw away the chance to have them take on the beingness of Scientology: the Auditor. He threw away everything in the TRs "being there comfortably," attention, intention, duplication, understanding... in favor of having his own crew be "cold chrome steel" — confronting via a valence!?! I mean here is all this auditing designed to split valences (false personalities) off the individual, and what does DM do? Sticks everyone in a new one.

The only people who would be stupider than DM would be the idiots who followed that anti-Scientology order and actually threw away their own valence to be MEST.

Even if LRH (in his old age) advised that, and I do not know that he did (I never saw any LRH advice on that) you would have to be out of your mind, coo-coo, to follow such a stupid anti-Scientology order.

If I had been in charge of RTC, I would have ordered them to have "the finest TRs on the planet" applying the Auditor's Code with each other and all other staff, 24/7. Any slip up, would have resulted in the person being sent to cramming to drill the TRs until they could "handle any social situation no matter who rough with TRs alone" — perfect, flawless ARC.

I think a tree could have figured that out. A tree is at least alive but DM is way, way, way below death (owning bodies, approval from bodies, etc.)

Take a moment and just image IF, since the formation of RTC if their beingness would have been as auditors... think of the effect they would have created on the environment. Think of how that beingness would inevitably have been copied and exported to all Scientology orgs, missions and groups planet-wide.

Instead, what did they export? "Be MEST" "Be suppressive." Be the problem instead of the solution. Be the engram instead of the cognition. Be the stuck needle instead of the F/N.

No, be the rock slam instead of the F/N. It truly is an evil purpose to have others be “cold chrome steel.” Many people have trouble confronting evil. Can you see it was simply an evil purpose? I never bought into that.

What all people and the entire universe lacks is theta. Someone "there"]. Terminals. Scientology was absolutely wealthy with terminals. Awake beings! Every staff member was a terminal for others. And all of that was scrapped, just blown to the four winds — matter, energy, space and time. And now they are a junkyard of "cold chrome steel" — old bumpers and shiny hubcaps where no one goes free.

As LRH said, we are the auditors to the world and all we have to do to recover is recover our beingness that the impostors stupidly abandoned.

More precious than gold, more valuable than diamonds, is theta. What can it buy? Love. Understanding. Honor. Respect. Satisfaction of helping another. Pride. Meaning. Gold and money can't buy any of that. They are worthless in comparison.

What can "cold chrome steel" buy? Fear. Intimidation. What insane depravity would desire people to fear them when they could have love, honor and meaning?

You, the Scientologist, have your hands on the key to the only genuine wealth there is. And it all starts with TR-0.

When I came into RTC in 1994 and they adopted the RTC Code of Conduct, which required that we have an "almost cold" attitude in all our dealings with people outside the org -- I had terrible trouble with it. To not smile at someone -- to not give a nod and a twinkle of the eye to someone you care for -- to be serious, foreboding and stern all the time, was awful. It was so NOT me, and I ARCX watching my friends ARCX -- yet it was something that was strictly enforced within RTC that we act this way. In fact, I was removed from post and demoted two times (once in 1995 and again in 1996) because I was deemed to have been "fraternizing" with people in lower orgs as I had been using the comm formula and basic TRs to get something done.

You are right -- the world would be a different place if what was actually held up as the model was someone with TRs in -- someone who could handle ANYTHING with TRs alone -- someone who ANYONE would talk to -- and someone that people trusted. Instead RTC, the RTC Representatives and then the ever growing number of other execs and staff who took on the valence, kicked out Scientology for something that does not resemble it in ANY form.

The world indeed starts with TR 0.

Yes, you know I've noticed my 12-week old daughter breaks into a big smile with nothing but excellent TR0. All I have to do is look at her, the being (not the body). You know it's a theta perceptic. Not so much what you see with your eyeballs, it's what you see as a being, i.e. the other being. And I can't help but smile too when I look at anyone that way. I just try to be there comfortably, not particularly putting any communication there except maybe hello. It's the greatest thing. Other people make baby noises or sing silly songs, lol, and she will smile with that too. But it's amazing what simple TR0 can do and how a being responds to the comfort of another human spirit, just being there comfortably with them.

Perfect duplication of the purpose of TR-O Steve: ........To just be there.....

Thank you for that clear recollection and
it's effect on you. It mirrored my very own experience, just with a different person!

The encounter was also life changing for me.....setting the process into motion to
discover WHO I really was...simply ME!

My first session of TR-O accomplished just that ....and allowed me to break out
of the shell of "being a body" for the very first time! Being TOTALLY keyed out
for three months as a result was, for me,
the most fulfilling single experience I
have yet had this lifetime!

And Lana? You were shafted by that evil
Scn imposter, and dished out his ghastly product---REVERSE Scientology! What a
nightmare of confusion and betrayal for anyone! No wonder people re-acted as they
did, when they heard of such experiences.

Thankfully, the EVIL has now been thoroughly identified, located and is presently dismantling itself from it's
former tenuous grip on the lives of so many. Amen.

Yes, my friends, The world does indeed start with TR-O.

Yes, that's amazing. Is it any wonder that DM did away with the old Comm Course that was so successful for so many years? Only to replace it with the lame Success Through Communication Course. He also did away with Life Repair that got so many people started on the Bridge.

Yep. I had exactly the same experience. I was body routed down a dark alley and into this old building without any exterior lights. Right inside the door was an old desk kind of thing covered with black vinyl which was peeling off, duct tape sticking it down here and there. Seated behind it was a beautiful, 17 year old girl who looked at me and said "Hi". She was alive and interested. Captivated me instantly.

Then I was worked over by the Public Reg who was so overt about selling me a Communication Course that I was flabbergasted. A half hour visit made a very strong impression because these people were in communication. You couldn't keep me away after that.

Yes, and it wasn't that the girl was pretty — there are tons of pretty girls out there. She had something that other people lacked — a technology that enables anyone to "be there comfortably and confront" anyone. I tell you one thing — many times DM and others like wussie Greg Wilhere threatened me with physical violence, but they could not overcome my TRs. In any threatening situation, I depended on my TRs and the EP I got from the Pro TRs course — the ability to handle any social situation no matter how rough with TRs alone. I would just look right at them, no ridge, and just be there comfortably. It was unassailable.

I recall the stockholm org lobby back in 79-80 with second hand chairs and sofas, an ugly carpet, filled with interesting free thinkers. I loved that place.

Yeah, in a world of MEST, here was something different. I remember being almost proud that the MEST was insignificant. I saw "almost" because ideally, the MEST would be nice too. But it would have to be the right character for Scientology, which none of the current orgs are. They're like really, really good-looking mannequins. Beautiful on the outside, and nothing on the inside. No affinity, no warmth, nothing alive. Nobody home.

Yes, I was pleased with the stockholm org looking like it did. There was no pretense. I can still recall what it was like to relax in one of those old lobby sofas. Anyone could walk through the door and you knew that person was a possible friend.

In about 1993 DM was furious with staff at the Int base because he did a survey and found out no one wanted to live there. So he assigned everyone Liability. That was the last time anyone at the Int base gave honest answers to a survey. Anyway, staff preferred living off the base, in Hemet, 9 miles away and 2 blocks from a mall (and Wal-Mart). At the briefing where he assigned everyone a wrong condition, DM ranted that he had created "the most beautiful home for any staff in Scientology." Yep, we had a soccer field no one was allowed to use, a baseball diamond no one was allowed to use, a pond no one was allowed to use, an exercise track no one was allowed to use. No ARC. No freedom. No choices. No theta. What people want is ARC.

Worse still Steve, in any conversation with DM at meetings, during inspections, or just at casual passings, there is no ARC from him. He made it real clear, for YEARS, that he considers the Int base staff suppressive, unproductive, degraded losers. Any use of ARC was generallu discouraged -- which is why the whole "pie face" scenario occurred (where staff had to look completely no-emotion, no reaction to every conversation) as if you smiled or laughed or tried to communicate a view about something, using ARC, it was unacceptable. You speak when you are spoken to -- and that's that. And when you are spoken to, if you respond in any way that he deems inappropriate, it is off with your head. ARC? No way!

Great post, Steve. I had a similar reaction when I first walked into an org in 1967. My first service a few days later was the old Comm Course. I became a Scientologist for life - even surviving over a decade of DeMonology along the way.

Maurice, I wish I could have been there back in 1967. I remember traveling across the US in 1980 and stopping in every city where there was an org, just to drop in and say hello and meet other friendly Scientologists. No one ever tried to reg visitors. It was fun back then. Now, if you go into an org, it's like Night of the Living Dead — IAS zombies coming out to feed on your credit cards! But back then, there was a strong esprit de corps everywhere you went in Scientology.

My first service was also the Comm Course. Unfortunately, I was so confused in the beginning — looking at a person's eyeballs instead of confronting the being which is really a theta perception. I believe anyone can do TRs correctly if coached properly and if their MUs are cleared up. I think this was why LRH said he could always put someone's TRs in over a weekend — effortlessly. Whereas others would struggle and flounder for weeks or months on TRs and never truly get it right. I had to struggle to "mock up ARC" for the person when looking at the body. Even at the Int base, I remember doing E-Meter drills assessing lists and a supervisor saying "mock up more ARC." If I were coaching today, my response would be, "Flunk, you dropped your confront off the being." Or, "you're confronting the body instead of the being." Surely if TRs are out, the E-Meter drills are difficult.

When you actually contact another being, the ARC just appears — you don't have to "mock it up." You get the reality of the other being there, and you go into comm, and your affinity soars.

The very idea of anyone "mocking up ARC" is nuts. And of course this also explains what is really expected from someone on OT TR0. It's not about confronting another body with eyes closed, it's about confronting a being without your eyes, because opened or closed, you are never going to need your eyes for that. It's perceiving as a thetan, contacting another thetan. And it is comfortable, naturally.

It's so easy and effortless when done right. Easy to do for hours. I mean, is there anything more beautiful than the human spirit? Right there within every person is a vista as beautiful as Yosemite or the Grand Canyon. Space, depth, beauty, experiences, history, identities, loves... all these things you take in instantly when TR0 goes in.

And then you take a newby off the street. The guy hardly knows which way is up. No one has ever in his life looked at HIM or HER, the being. He's full of question. Lacks stable data. Has no self confidence. What a pleasure it is to look at that being with flawless TR0. You are providing the ultimate stable datum — because what is more stable than a Static?

I noticed when I was the Solo I/C at Flag doing interviews on Clears and pre-OTs, I had to be careful to listen to the words coming out of the person's mouth because when you go direct to the being, the comm line is so huge it is easy to drop out the tiny MEST comm line of sounds coming across from the person's mouth. There's some interesting things that can be done with TRs and it's a fertile ground to explore and to play.

In the spirit of play, I used to have fun when I met people, to fix them with really excellent TRs — the teller at the bank or a sales person in a retail store, and watch their reaction as you carry on a normal conversation. They look at you with a kind of awe. They see something is different. It's like a kid tasting ice cream for the first time.

The magic of TR0, it's quite a gift in itself.

For me it was the same when I first came into the org. The TRs of the receptionist and the "spiritual silence" while I was waiting for the registrar. As I then saw the comm-cycle between the receptionist and the reg, I was all for it, ready to buy a couple of books and sign up for a course.

It was all about theta. I knew I was home.

Now, as you noted, the Tone Level is controlling bodys or around that minuses levels- Obviously their choosen valence to create "fear", nevertheless, at the moment that valence is assumed it, in itself, leaves them with a LIE. Per Science of Survival a lier is a coward, thus, what do we have on our hands? False valences, lies, cowardice, very, very low tone levels and the outcome for these "particles" is the oblivion for eternity. Im glad Thoughtful that we are fighters, wining as we smile at others and flowing some theta in our areas. The simple the better

Thanks Silvia, one of the formulas I've followed from the outset regarding speaking out about the CoS, is 8-8008 — the attainment of infinity by the reduction of the apparent infinity of the mest universe to zero, and the rehabilitation of the person's own universe from an apparent zero to what it really is: infinity. Of course that was all accomplished through "Creative" or Mock Up processing as taught in the famous PDC lectures. The product of the auditing was the pc realizing his own power and ability to refuse to agree.

As LRH said, the universe is an agreed-upon illusion. That means if a being really refuses to disagree, it HAS to change, by definition. All this is not that hard to do and we are already well on our way to doing it. All that stands in our way is... as you said, false valences, lies, cowardice, very very low tone levels.

I recall when Li'l Dave started to withdraw RTC from the hoipolloi at the base, and in complete contradiction to the org board of the place, which put Qual Gold as THE Qual for all staff. DM didn't like that the Cramming Unit in Gold had the authority granted by policy, so he knew best and began to separate out, to individuate not just himself, but an entire unit, RTC.

The FO/PL ETHICS PRESENCE is utterly violated with this ridiculous new attitude of zero ARC. What a dolt that guy is. As dumb as me arse. Stultified seems to be the operative term.

Steve, throughout the years and my experience with the Indies I have read things from many people. But you have a way to go into those simplicities and be very straight about them.

On top of it there is no mumbo jumbo coming out of your mouth. The bottom line is Scientology just gave us Theta and no Mest can buy that.

I am learning new things about Miscavige and his suppressive agenda at RTC and how he set a whole army of cold chrome steel beings.

I remember my encounters with RTC reps on this. They were exactly like that. I was wondering about it. Nobody there? What is this? An ARC X in itself.

I wish us all here a new dawn of something. I have hopes, I see good, smart people who have a lot to say and do and above all people who have gotten the meanings of the writings of LRH, without significances (LOL), have cleared up their Misunderstoods, have gotten a grasp of the subject and are able to go down to the real Basics of the Technology and apply and promote those... Because without those basics, like ARC, we all should know by now that there is an outpoint if those basics are missing. One deals in Scientology and does all he does... to reach to the Basics. Otherwise he is not moving up, he goes some other direction.

I am so happy to be amongst people who cherish and struggled for the Basics and did away with so many valences and false identities and evil purps and significances and now we can, even through a long distance comm line, communicate and think over this whole, ugly situation.

One of my favourite posts so far. This is very close to my own experience. In my org in 1980 there were couches in the reception area where you could hang out. Since going "Ideal!!!!" there is no one to hang out with.
